The fastest path
Email abuse@spyderapp.com with the full URL of the offending page and a short description of what's wrong. Screenshots help.
Specific categories
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): email csam@spyderapp.com with the URL. We act within hours and report to NCMEC.
- Phishing / fraud / impersonation: abuse@spyderapp.com.
- Copyright / DMCA: see the dedicated process below.
- Privacy violation (your personal info posted without consent): privacy@spyderapp.com.
- Security vulnerability (in Spyder itself, not in a customer site): security@spyderapp.com.
DMCA notice
If you believe content on a Spyder-hosted site infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to dmca@spyderapp.com including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- Identification of the material on Spyder you want removed, with the URL.
- Your contact information (address, phone, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use isn't authorized.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
We respond to valid DMCA notices by removing or disabling access to the material and notifying the site owner. The site owner may file a counter-notice if they believe the takedown was a mistake.
What we do with reports
- Triage within 24 hours.
- Most reports resolve in 48–72 hours.
- Severe violations (CSAM, active phishing, malware) result in immediate takedown — usually within an hour.
- You'll get a confirmation when the report is filed and a follow-up when action is taken.
False reports
Filing a knowingly false abuse report — particularly a fraudulent DMCA notice — can carry legal consequences. Don't use this process to harass a site you simply disagree with.
