Wix and Weebly are great until you want to leave. Webflow is for designers. Framer has a learning curve. Squarespace charges for features that should be free. The self-hosted alternatives all look like 2014.
Spyder is what happens when you take "I want a real website, my colors, my domain, today" and refuse to compromise: AI site generation in two seconds, click-to-edit on the live preview, 22 templates and 12 themes that don't look like every other SaaS, free subdomain on the house, bring your own domain when you're ready — we provision the cert.
The stack
Built on Next.js 15 + OpenNext, deployed to Cloudflare Workers, backed by D1 and R2. AI inference via Groq (Llama 3.3 70B) for generation, Cloudflare Workers AI (Flux) for images. Stripe for billing. Universal account across the Spyder + Tap + Swift suites via a shared SwiftBill SSO.
